Susan Meyers has a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge and a Master of Science in Environmental Science from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne. Her 25+ year-career has taken her from the microbiologist at the Godchaux Sugar Refinery to the education department at Stone Mountain Memorial Association. In 2003 after a visit to the Mexican overwintering colonies of the monarch, her life was forever metamorphosed. Now retired, she continues to volunteer for Monarch Watch, Project Monarch Health, Monarch Larva Monitoring Project, and Monarchs Across Georgia.
